Collaborative Consultancy
I bring expertise to client challenges, drawing on experience from over 80 design and innovation projects over 20 years. I work in an interdisciplinary and nuanced way, connecting the dots across disciplines, themes, opportunities and challenges. I work with a adaptable toolkit of methods across systems and service design, strategic design research and regenerative practices. Coaching
I am an accredited systems and career coach. I love supporting people through personal, professional and systemic opportunities and challenges. In 2024 I coached four teams on Shaping Places for Healthier Lives: a groundbreaking systems change health programme, for the UK Design Council, LGA and the Health Foundation. My coaching practice and expertise also feeds into how I work on consulting projects, helping get the best out of teams, clients and collaborators. Strategic Design Research
I bring a people and planet lens to design research that asks questions, challenges and builds on or creates a fully-defined brief. My approach is iterative and design research activities often weave through all stages of a project, including prototyping and testing. Research methods include in-depth interviews, workshops, stakeholder engagement, co-design, digital and place-based ethnography. I work with service users, citizens, communities, people with lived experience, experts and wider stakeholders in a trauma-informed way. I believe research can be game-changing and influential in the creation and improvement of products and services, policy change, systems transformation and business model development. Creative Facilitation
I'm a seasoned creative facilitator. Over the past two decades, I've designed and led 100+ workshops and residencies across the creative industries, the general public, the C-Suite, and beyond. My clients include the BBC, Nike, Adidas, WWF, the British Science Association, and more. I lead or support with creative workshop design, planning, facilitation and post-workshop analysis and synthesis. I believe in bringing people together from diverse backgrounds and holding space for conversations and collaborations around gnarly issues helps people work towards better ways of doing things.
